How to Placing Two Kids in The Same Room – Toddler Bed and a Crib

Modern spaces like flats and condominium are smaller than your average house, unless you could afford those expensive spacious units. This only becomes a problem once you start having kids, how could you afford another room for every kid that you have. Well then the solution is placing two kids in the same room – toddler bed and a crib.

There are many advantages of keeping them in one room. First they get to bond with their siblings. Although you  might worry that they would get in each others way, it would surprise you how fast they get along with each other’s quirks. Also, at a young age, it would teach them how to deal with other people. And they do not necessarily get their way all the time.

However, as the kids get older, some of them might want to have their own space, and the arguments and pin-pointing may seem endless. But all these could be resolved once you set some rules and explain to them how they should handle their situation.

Small toddler beds have size to their advantage. Their size impact in minimal.

If you are currently expecting your second child, and looking for an inexpensive crib, start early in your search. Also ask relatives if they have one, since you may have given yours away.

If your two kids, do not sleep at the same time, then you should take one to bed ahead of the other. Normally, the parents could instill on the elder child how he should try to behave in order not to wake the other kid up. He may know that he has to do it but he may not understand why and so it is important to keep on reminding him or her about it.

Treat your children as adults, organize their room so that they have a common area, like maybe a small sofa and TV set where they could play and draw. And their own space which pertains to their bed or perhaps they have their own desk and cabinet space. You could color code them so each child would know which one is his.
